In a world of motion, I find my stillness,
A captive soul in a body unyielding.
Muscles that fired now forever stalled,
Dreams once vibrant, patiently enthralled.
Each breath a battle, a fight for control,
The simplest tasks a story to be told.
A symphony of care, a chorus of need,
Independence a whisper, a fading seed.
But spirit untamed, a fire burns bright,
In the caverns of darkness, I search for the light.
For within my mind, horizons expand,
New landscapes explored, by an unseen hand
.
Through the window of thought, I soar on wings free,
Though tethered to earth, my spirit will always be.
For life’s not defined by the limits we face,
But the courage to conquer, the heart’s steadfast embrace.
